Raven Construction was responsible for civil and architectural activities associated with the expansion of the facility, specifically the Hydrolysis Unit and Storage Building. Our scope included:

  • Excavation and backfill for utility trenches and firewater system

  • Installation of underground firewater lines and fire hydrants

  • Cast-in-Place concrete foundations and building floor slab

  • Construction of new plant access roads

  • Installation of perimeter fencing

  • Cladding installation

Highlights: Concrete and underground firewater line installation commenced in November of 2003, resulting in all work being completed during winter months. Heating and hoarding systems required to ensure project quality standards were maintained.

Project took place within an operating facility. Additional coordination required with plant personnel to ensure that construction activities did not impact plant production.
