As a Civil Construction Contractor working directly for the General Contractor, Raven Construction's scope of responsibilities regularly includes:
Site Preparation, Trenching & General Excavation
Piling Installation
Installation of Underground Piping

RCMI has vast experience in delivering a range of civil works projects from basic to complex, including excavations, formwork, foundations, buildings, above grade supports, concrete tanks and lagoons, pits, vaults as well as extensive concrete rehabilitation. RCMI utilizes its own experienced forces in self-performing much of the work we undertake and have also partnered with dedicated contractors and suppliers to ensure consistent delivery of services.
Constructor/Prime Contractor
As a General Contractor, RCMI can be hired directly by the Owner (or their representative) to perform and/or manage all aspects of construction execution on a Project. The General Contractor is directly responsible for ensuring the Owner's expectations with respect to health & safety, quality, schedule and cost controls are met, as established by the contract documents. On projects such as this, the Owner has hired a consulting firm to establish the scope of work and to design the project and often times has hired a construction management firm to oversee construction site activities on their behalf.
Design/Build Construction
Under a Design / Build contract, RCMI is hired directly by the Owner (or their representative) to provide both design and construction execution services on a Project. This contract strategy provides an opportunity to engage various project stakeholders(Owners, Engineers, Designers, Constructors, Suppliers, etc.) in a collaborative approach to developing cost effective solutions.
Under this contract format, RCMI is directly responsible for the overall design of the Project and will hire design consultants as needed to complete the design. Upon completion of the design, RCMI will act as the General Contractor to ensure that construction field activities are executed as per the design while working under the contractual constraints set out by the Owner with respect to health and safety, quality, schedule and cost control.
