Project Description: Toyota Christmas holiday shutdown job performed on an existing slab area in the plant transformed into a final line inspection pit.  

Project Scope: RAven Construction was awarded the civil contract from Sutherland-Schultz for this operation. The scope as outlined below:

  • Installation of a sealed hoarding system from the floor slab to the roof to contain construction dust during the entire length of project

  • Saw-cut and demo the existing concrete floor slab

  • Excavation and backfill operations

  • Formwork PERI systems, rebar and cast-in-place concrete installation

  • Drill, dowel, formwork and rebar installation of slab reinstatement

  • Finish, coat and seal new slab

Highlights: PERI formwork system was used in the wall construction formwork. This engineered concrete system is heavy, but easy to assemble and very easy to stabilize and brace making it an ideal solution for a time constraint so critic.

               Work commenced 24 hours around the clock to ensure the tight schedule was complete in the available window.
